Staff with the new PDAs

On 31 July 2014, New Charter Building Company began their 'pilot' for the new PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) Mobile Working Solution.  The solution is desgined to deliver a more streamlined and paperless Responsive Repairs Service, as our Technicians can now receive their job tickets electronically.

The PDA system provides real time information, allowing users to view Technicians at point of productivity. This creates a smarter system of work allocation and more efficient location distribution.

Implimentation began with a small number of our Plumbers who completed over 780 electronic job tickets in the first month.

Technicians can place orders for materials and replensh their van stocks via their PDA device direct from site.

Over the next few weeks additional trades will be introduced to the system, including joiners, bricklayers, painters, plasterers, ground workers, electricians and gas technicians.
