New Charter contact centre dazzles at awards

Jigsaw Group Group is celebrating this week after scooping a top prize and four other accolades at a regional contact centre awards.

The team of 34, who answer phone calls from all over the 18,600 home Group, were recognised at the annual North West Contact Centre Awards on Thursday at Manchester’s Palace Theatre. They were recognised in the most categories out of all of the nominees.

The event, organised by call centre support organisation Call North West, saw the best in contact centres in the region compete for top accolades in 12 categories, from individual recognition to team prizes.

New Charter’s director of customer experience Cath Owston scooped the Senior Manager/Director of the Year Award.

The Tameside-based housing association also beat off tough competition from the private sector, including Tesco Mobile, to be highly commended in the following categories:

  • Agent of the Year
  • Team Leader of the Year
  • Manager of the Year
  • Contact Centre of the Year (under 100 seats)

The team's training programme for new employees was also shortlisted for the Training Programme of the Year Award.
