Our customers are at the heart of everything we do as we continually strive to deliver excellent service.  We offer support to homeless and vulnerable people to support them to achieve greater independence and improved health and wellbeing.

Threshold runs the women’s refuge element of Bridges, a Jigsaw led service in Tameside supporting people experiencing domestic abuse. 

We now have the following opportunity available:



Fixed Term until April 2024

Salary £21,435  per annum

Hours 37.5 per week


Bridges Domestic Abuse service works with victims of domestic abuse at all levels of risk across Tameside.

The Customer Support Worker will be based in the refuge provision of the service. The refuge is a 24 hour provision therefore you will be expected to work a shift pattern over a four week rota covering days, evenings and weekends where some of these shifts will be lone working.

The customers that we are supporting are victims of abuse and may have additional support needs with substance misuse and mental health.

We offer a holistic package of support to meet the individual needs of the customer, motivating, empowering and supporting to move on to independent living.

The Customer Support Worker will be confident and assertive able to deal with difficult and challenging demands of behaviours. Are able to manage crisis situations having the ability to work under pressure within a busy and very demanding environment.


The above role is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1 and therefore we can only accept applications from women.
